The Certification Process
The Certification Process – It’s a breeze !
At UVCERT, our specialists follow the below-mentioned 8-step process
Fee Proposal – Quote
Upon an enquiry/application, we determine the requirements, make a capability analysis and produce a quote – the competitive one. No hidden cost elements are involved in our quote to ensure transparency.
Contract
Our contract document for 3-Years’ Certification Cycle provides a comprehensive framework under which UVCERT establishes a long term relationship aiming at meet the operational, functional and business objectives required by the contract and provide a profitable interaction.
Optional Pre-Assessment
A Gap Analysis is an option UVCERT offers to its valuable clients giving them an insight of their readiness for certification audits against the bare-minimum requirements of the Management System Standard(s).
Audit – Stage 1 Assessment
A Stage 1 Assessment is a mandatory first tier review of the Management System(s) establishment, mechanism of self-assessment & management review, related documented information and process interactions & complexity for the planning and resource allocation of second tier Process Audit. The outcome of this assessment is a report of compliances or non-compliances those need to be addressed before Stage 2 Assessment.
Audit – Stage 2 Assessment
The Stage 2 Assessment is the in-depth second tier review of the Management System(s) implementation and effectiveness encompassing all the requirements. This assessment is concluded with a detailed finding report depicting quick wins as well as non-compliances based audit conclusion. This process audit is comprehensive in nature and covers all the processes areas within the defined scope of the organization.
Corrective Action
Corrective Actions entirely depend upon the Audit Conclusion. Major category non-compliances need to be addressed immediately through Re-Audit/Re-Visit whereas Minor category non-compliances may be taken care of through timly-planned Corrective Actions to be verified in the Surveillance Audit.
Initial Certification
Certification is recommended in case of Minor non-compliances whereas no Certification is granted in the event of even one Major non-compliance.
Surveillance Audits
Surveillance Audits focus on the maintenance and continual improvement of the client’s Management System(s). Contractual terms, keeping in view the context, scale and complexity of the organization & its processes, define the frequency of Surveillance Audits throughout the certification cycle, however, at least one Surveillance Audit has to be conducted annually. The scope of Surveillance Audit is not as wide as Stage 2 Assessment, but, it follows the risk-based auditing approach focusing on the critical areas and processes within the system. Surveillance Audits also come up with detailed report of the audit finding and in the event of even one Major non-compliance, the certification status may be suspended/withdrawn till the effective corrective action is taken and verified.
Recertification
After the successful realization of 3-years certification cycle, UVCERT requires the client to go through Recertification Assessment, similar to initial Stage 2 Assessment. The assessment objective remains the review of maintenance and continual improvement of the client’s Management System(s).
